We are a youth development nonprofit on a mission to empower young people through mentorship, life skills, career exploration, and leadership — building the next generation of successful adults.
To empower youth through mentorship, life skills development, and career exploration to help them become successful adults.
We believe that every young person — regardless of their background, circumstances, or past — has the potential to thrive. Our mission is to unlock that potential by providing the tools, support, and guidance they need to build a better future.
A generation of confident, emotionally healthy, skilled, and purpose-driven young people who positively impact their communities.
We envision a world where every young person has access to the mentorship, resources, and opportunities they need to discover their purpose and build a life they are proud of.
Founded with Purpose & Passion
A Million Wishes Foundation was born from a deep conviction that every child deserves a chance — not just a chance to survive, but a chance to truly thrive. Our founder saw firsthand the gaps that exist in support systems for young people, especially those who are underserved, in foster care, or navigating difficult circumstances.
What started as a personal mission to make a difference in the lives of a few young people has grown into a movement that touches hundreds of lives each year. The foundation was built on the belief that the right mentor, the right skill, or the right opportunity at the right moment can completely change the trajectory of a young person's life.
The name "A Million Wishes" reflects the hope that every child carries — and our commitment to help them turn those wishes into reality. One young person at a time, one wish at a time.
"Meet them where they are, then teach them where they can go."
Five principles that guide everything we do — from how we approach a young person for the first time to how we celebrate their success.
Every child has a story worth understanding. Before we can help a young person change, we must first understand who they are, where they come from, and what they've been through.
We don't ask young people to come to us on our terms. We go to them — physically, emotionally, and culturally — and build trust before we build anything else.
Once trust is established, we open doors. We show young people possibilities they may never have seen, and we walk with them as they step through those doors.
The goal is never punishment — it is development. We believe in the power of positive reinforcement, mentorship, and skill-building to transform lives.
Everything we do is in service of one ultimate goal: helping young people become confident, capable, and purpose-driven adults who contribute positively to their communities.
"The goal is not punishment — it is development."
We serve young people who are often overlooked, underestimated, or simply haven't had access to the right support. Our doors are open to anyone who is ready to grow.
These aren't just words on a wall — they are the principles we live by every single day.
We do what we say and say what we mean.
We lead with empathy and genuine care for every child.
We develop leaders at every level — youth and adult.
We hold ourselves and our youth to high standards.
We believe every person has unlimited potential to grow.
We exist to serve our community, not ourselves.
Everything we do is intentional and mission-driven.
Our long-term vision is to establish a dedicated Youth Development Center — a physical space where young people can access mentorship, sports, career exploration, life skills training, leadership development, trades education, and personal development programs, all under one roof.
This center will be a safe haven, a launching pad, and a community hub — a place where every young person who walks through the door knows they are seen, valued, and supported. We are actively working toward this vision, and every donation, every volunteer hour, and every partnership brings us closer to making it a reality.
